About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Exterior Design/Release Engineer to lead the design and development of exterior components and assemblies for vehicle projects. What you'll do
- Design and develop exterior components and related assemblies
- Establish and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets
- Manage all aspects of exterior component development including performance, cost, mass, timing, and manufacturability
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between internal teams, external partners, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with NHTSA/FMVSS requirements for exterior components
- Work in fast-paced environment to deliver designs on schedule
