About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Fuel Injection System Design & Release Engineer to develop and manage core engine fuel injection components for major engine families. This role involves design optimization, DFMEA analysis, testing coordination, and full product lifecycle management from development through production launch.

What you'll do

  • Design and release fuel injection components including high-pressure fuel pumps, direct injection rails, fuel lines, and injectors
  • Conduct DFMEA analysis to identify risks and develop robust DVP&R testing plans to meet reliability goals
  • Collaborate with design and CAE teams to optimize component performance and fuel economy
  • Initiate source packages, manage APQP meetings, and oversee prototype part procurement
  • Monitor DV and PV testing, perform post-test reviews, and conduct failure analysis
  • Support full product launch including component testing, manufacturing reviews, service procedures, and change management
