Hardware Engineer (Automotive)
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer to design automotive electronic systems, specializing in analog/digital circuits, power management, and communication interfaces. You'll support the complete product lifecycle from concept to production, working with microcontrollers, PCB design tools, and automotive-grade testing equipment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop automotive electronic hardware from concept through production release
- Create analog and digital circuit designs, schematics, and support PCB layout using PCAD and Dx Designer
- Design power management circuits including DC-DC converters, LDOs, and protection architectures
- Implement and validate automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, UART)
- Perform circuit simulations using LTspice or PSpice and conduct hardware debugging with oscilloscopes
- Ensure compliance with automotive EMC, ESD, and environmental standards; collaborate across teams
