About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Hardware-in-the-Loop Test Engineer to execute and automate automotive ECU testing, analyze network traces, build test benches, and drive defects to closure. This role supports the development of autonomous electric vehicles and other advanced automotive systems in a collaborative engineering environment.

What you'll do

  • Execute HiL test cases against feature and system requirements, analyzing results for accuracy
  • Write and maintain automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, or dSPACE AutomationDesk
  • Flash ECU software, verify communication, and configure restbus simulation on test benches
  • Analyze CAN, LIN, and Ethernet protocol traces to isolate failures in the device, bench, or test script
  • Build, modify, and instrument test harnesses, breakout boxes, load boxes, and simulated sensors
  • Document and drive defect reports to closure with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
