HVDC Engineer

About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks an experienced HVDC Engineer to support the design, validation, and integration of high-voltage direct current systems. The role combines power systems modeling, testing, and cross-functional collaboration on complex electrical infrastructure projects.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and validate HVDC systems with emphasis on control, protection, and testing
• Develop and analyze power system models using MATLAB/Simulink
• Conduct system-level testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of HVDC infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering teams on component and subsystem integration
• Create test procedures, validation plans, and technical documentation
• Support software validation, testing, and debugging activities
