About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Junior HIL Test Engineer to design and develop hardware-in-the-loop test benches for ADAS, infotainment, and vehicle systems validation. You'll work with industry-standard tools like dSPACE and Vector platforms to enable component and subsystem testing without prototype vehicles, supporting automotive clients in North America.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop HIL test benches for ADAS/AD, Chassis, Infotainment, and Connectivity systems
  • Configure and integrate real-time systems, I/O hardware, and bus simulation environments
  • Develop test specifications and standardize hardware integration solutions across projects
  • Support remote HIL bench control capabilities with full functional fidelity across global sites
  • Collaborate on virtual validation methods and enhance testing methodologies
  • Execute component, subsystem, and vehicle-level integration validation of features and functions

  • Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, vTESTstudio)
  • CAN/CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet (SOME/IP, DoIP) automotive protocols
  • MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C++, or C#
  • Vehicle dynamics simulation software (CarMaker, dSPACE ASM)
  • AUTOSAR architecture knowledge
  • ISO 26262 functional safety and SOTIF standards
  • Real-time systems and I/O configuration
