Junior Interior Trim Engineer
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Junior Interior Trim Engineer to support the development, testing, and troubleshooting of automotive interior components like pillars, headliners, and door trim. You'll investigate fit, finish, and assembly issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve production concerns.
What you'll do
- Investigate and troubleshoot interior trim fit, finish, gap, flush, and squeak/rattle issues from vehicle builds and warranty claims
- Perform root cause analysis using dimensional measurements, tolerance studies, and force testing
- Create and update 3D models, drawings, and engineering changes in Siemens NX
- Conduct dimensional inspection and variation analysis using scanning, fixtures, and SPC data
- Participate in vehicle builds and validation activities to evaluate interior trim fitment and assembly
- Support supplier and plant investigations, including containment activities and corrective actions
