About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Production Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes and costs for vehicle programs. You'll use CATIA CAD to assess design feasibility, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on process improvements, and develop detailed cost analyses and forecasts throughout the product lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Review mechanical designs using CATIA CAD to evaluate manufacturability and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cost plans for vehicle programs including materials, tooling, and manufacturing costs
- Conduct detailed cost analyses and 'should-cost' benchmarking studies for components and supplier pricing
- Partner with manufacturing teams to identify workflow improvements and optimize equipment utilization
- Support value analysis and continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing and operational efficiency
- Monitor cost trends, develop KPIs, and present forecasts and budget proposals to stakeholders
