Structural Analysis Engineer - Aerospace
About this role
ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Structural Analysis Engineer to conduct physics-based structural assessments and finite element analysis on aerospace components and assemblies. You'll support design decisions, requirements development, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fully remote role.
What you'll do
- Perform structural assessments using hand calculations, finite element analysis, and simulation techniques
- Analyze components for strength, stiffness, fatigue life, fracture resistance, and structural integrity
- Generate technical reports, compliance documentation, and presentations communicating analysis results
- Support verification, validation, and qualification activities across the product development lifecycle
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and improve performance
- Review designs and analyses to provide independent technical evaluation and recommendations

- SolidWorks (required)
- FEMAP, NASTRAN, or LS-DYNA
- Structural mechanics, dynamics, and kinematics
- Python programming
