About this role

ALTEN Technology USA seeks a Vehicle Connectivity Engineer in Troy, Michigan to design and develop mobile applications and vehicle-side systems that enable secure communication between vehicles and external interfaces. You'll bridge automotive ECUs with commercial mobile apps, manage connectivity architecture, and lead technology roadmaps for innovative vehicle features.

What you'll do

  • Develop mobile application requirements and manage sourcing, development, and engineering of connectivity solutions
  • Design vehicle-side system components that interface with mobile apps to control features and access vehicle data
  • Develop security requirements for phone connectivity, integrating with secure gateways, diagnostic ECUs, and over-the-air flash capabilities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to establish vehicle architecture connecting mobile apps to automotive ECUs with UI/UX implementation
  • Implement security features in mobile applications to prevent unauthorized access to safety-critical vehicle modules
  • Test, verify, and validate mobile application software using industry-standard tools
