About this role

Lead vehicle launch efforts for exterior body systems at a major automotive OEM, managing design-to-production execution for fascias, claddings, moldings, and related components. Drive readiness across prototype, pilot, and production phases while coordinating between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and plant teams to resolve fit, finish, and quality issues on schedule.

What you'll do

  • Own launch readiness for exterior commodities through all build phases from prototype through start of production
  • Lead on-site build support at assembly plants and prototype shops, capturing and closing issues daily
  • Serve as primary liaison between design engineers, plant teams, manufacturing, and quality on part availability and buildability
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for fit, finish, gaps, leaks, and craftsmanship defects
  • Manage exterior launch issue list, prioritize by risk, and drive closure through design, tooling, or process changes
  • Coordinate supplier part readiness including tooling maturity, PPAP status, and escalation of at-risk parts
