Design Engineer

About this role

Ambrook, a Series A fintech startup, seeks a Design Engineer to build beautiful, intuitive interfaces for agricultural and industrial businesses. You'll own product design, develop design systems, and implement high-quality frontend code while shaping the company's product direction from an early stage.

What you'll do

• Design and build user-facing features that translate complex agricultural finance workflows into intuitive interfaces
• Build and evolve design system components, interaction patterns, and design tokens across web and mobile
• Establish quality standards and processes ensuring elegant, effective feature delivery
• Lead frontend architecture improvements and development workflows as the company scales
• Collaborate with design, product, engineering, and customers to influence product direction
• Conduct user research and create prototypes to understand real-world usage patterns

What they're looking for

• Web and mobile design/development (3+ years)
• Design system ownership and component libraries
• Figma prototyping and high-fidelity design
• Frontend development: React, TypeScript, Next.js
• React Native and mobile development
• Data structures and async programming
• UI/UX design instincts and accessibility awareness
