About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain manufacturing control systems across its factories. You'll own PLC/HMI architectures end-to-end, deploy OT infrastructure with defense-grade security, and collaborate cross-functionally to scale production automation nationally.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop PLC code on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms with structured, documented code for high-volume manufacturing
  • Own controls systems end-to-end including architecture, commissioning, proof of rate, and handoff to operations
  • Deploy and maintain OT server infrastructure (MQTT brokers, jump hosts) with backup and change-control practices
  • Design OT networking stack for production (MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP) and troubleshoot protocol and VLAN segmentation issues
  • Implement defense-grade OT security practices including air-gapped design, IEC 62443 segmentation, and server hardening
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and Manufacturing Engineering teams on cross-functional initiatives and design reviews
