Chief Engineer, Fury Advanced Concepts

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Chief Engineer to lead technical development of the Fury unmanned aircraft program, managing design evolution from conceptual stages through prototype testing and manufacturing. This role combines individual technical contributions with team leadership, requiring close coordination with customers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to expand the product line.

What you'll do

• Own technical development and design process for Fury aircraft variants from white papers through detailed design and flight testing
• Establish program vision, roadmaps, and plans encompassing scope, cost, and schedule while keeping teams aligned
• Lead design trade studies and coordinate across functional engineering teams to optimize vehicle configuration
• Develop requirements, design review criteria, and conduct operational analysis to validate system effectiveness
• Build and recruit technical teams around business opportunities while managing budgets, schedules, and staffing estimates
• Interface with customers to define capabilities, employment concepts, and alternate configurations
