About this role
Anduril is hiring a Computer Vision Engineer to develop perception systems for space vehicles, including sensor design, navigation algorithms, and flight software for orbital missions across LEO, MEO, GEO, and proximity operations. You'll combine classical and machine learning approaches to enable autonomous spacecraft capabilities for U.S. military and allied partners.
What you'll do
- Design and develop computer vision subsystems including hardware sensors and processing platforms for spacecraft
- Develop and integrate navigation algorithms, flight software, and autonomy tools for space vehicle operations across multiple orbital regimes
- Implement classical and ML-based vision techniques for object detection, tracking, SLAM, and sensor fusion applications
- Create test plans and validation procedures for ground checkout, on-orbit commissioning, and operational phases
- Collaborate with sensor, GNC, avionics, and mission operations teams to integrate and validate complex CV functionality
- Support spacecraft testing during launch windows and on-orbit operations while defining automated fault detection systems
