About this role
Pure Storage seeks a Control Plane & Observability Software Engineer to design and maintain core infrastructure for hyperscale products, focusing on system monitoring, control interfaces, and reliability. You'll work on distributed systems handling metrics tracking, logging optimization, and cross-functional collaboration in an in-office Santa Clara environment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop high-performance control plane and observability infrastructure for hyperscale products
- Build monitoring systems for I/O counters, latency, temperature, performance, and error metrics
- Implement control interfaces (REST, CLI) for system, drive, power, firmware, encryption, and LED management
- Analyze and optimize boot drive logging to reduce volume and support advanced log data recorders
- Troubleshoot system logs and data to ensure optimal performance and collaborate on issue resolution
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
