About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design firmware for cutting-edge imaging systems deployed in defense applications. You'll develop embedded software from prototype through production, collaborating across hardware, electrical, and mechanical teams while working with FPGAs, SoCs, and ARM processors.
What you'll do
- Design and develop firmware for embedded hardware from concept through functional prototype and system integration
- Write C/C++ code for ARM processors in FPGAs, SoCs, and System-on-Modules
- Troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software domains using lab equipment and debugging tools
- Collaborate with hardware engineers on component selection and product support
- Develop and maintain firmware across multiple products at varying development stages
- Conduct board bring-up and participate in ground and flight testing

- C/C++ embedded firmware development
- ARM processor programming
- FPGA development (preferred: Xilinx)
- Test equipment operation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers)
- Git/version control systems
- Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN)
- Embedded Linux (preferred)
- Hardware troubleshooting and board bring-up
