About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Firmware Engineer for their Space team to develop low-level firmware and device drivers for on-orbit spacecraft systems. What you'll do
- Develop low-level firmware and device drivers for microcontrollers supporting on-orbit spacecraft
- Own and architect complex firmware features within embedded systems
- Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software integration
- Collaborate with electrical engineering on microcontroller and peripheral selection
- Design and test reusable system-level features across a growing codebase
- Manage concurrent involvement in multiple projects at varying development stages

- C/C++ programming for embedded systems
- Microcontroller firmware development (bare-metal or RTOS)
- Device driver and sensor integration
- Bus protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet)
- Debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer)
- Python or Rust proficiency
- Satellite mission autonomy and fault recovery systems
- Schematic review and hardware-software integration
