About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Flight Test Engineer in Fort Stockton, Texas to plan, execute, and evaluate testing for the Altius autonomous UAS platform. You'll oversee software and hardware integration validation, manage test assets, conduct flight operations, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure mission-critical performance and safety.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute flight test events with minimal supervision, including pre/post briefings and test card development
- Manage test asset configuration, hardware components, payloads, and fleet maintenance tracking
- Develop evaluation test plans and reports assessing software/hardware integration, functionality, and operational suitability
- Operate Altius UAS during system evaluation testing and conduct metrics collection for sortie data
- Adjudicate test findings with cross-functional engineering, pilot, and operations teams
- Interface daily with hardware and software engineering teams to report test status and issues
