Anduril Industries
Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Engineer - Navigation and Estimation- Air Dominance & Strike
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a GNC Engineer specializing in navigation and estimation to design and develop advanced navigation systems for autonomous air, missile, and hypersonic platforms. You'll own navigation architecture from concept through flight testing, integrating sensor fusion algorithms and inertial navigation systems while analyzing performance across subsonic to hypersonic flight regimes.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end navigation system design and architecture for Anduril aerospace products
- Develop and validate navigation algorithms including Extended Kalman filters and sensor fusion techniques
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and trade studies to optimize navigation performance and robustness
- Support lab, motion, and flight testing to evaluate alternative navigation aids and troubleshoot anomalies
- Analyze telemetry data and perform covariance analysis for requirements derivation and uncertainty assessment
- Improve sensor calibration procedures for inertial and alternative navigation systems
What they're looking for
- Navigation system design and architecture
- Kalman filtering and estimation theory
- Sensor fusion (INS, GNSS, camera, LiDAR)
- MATLAB, Python, or C++ for algorithm development
- Flight test planning and execution
- Modeling and simulation tools
- Covariance analysis and error modeling
- Inertial measurement unit (IMU) integration
