About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer to design and integrate proximity sensor systems for autonomous vehicles. You'll lead full-cycle PCB development, from requirements through production, while managing testing, validation, and cross-functional collaboration in a defense technology environment.
What you'll do
- Design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles
- Execute complete PCB lifecycle from requirements through production, including schematic design and component selection
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment
- Conduct lab, ground, and flight testing of sensor and engine system components
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to support field operations
- Lead peer-level design reviews and collaborate across subsystem teams

- PCB design and layout (Altium preferred)
- Mixed-signal and circuit design
- Sensor design, integration, and testing
- Test equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers)
- Standard communication interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI)
- EMI testing and environmental compliance
- UAS, power electronics, or powertrain design experience
- MIL-STD compliance and defense industry standards
