About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer to design and integrate proximity sensor systems for autonomous vehicles. You'll lead full-cycle PCB development, from requirements through production, while managing testing, validation, and cross-functional collaboration in a defense technology environment.

What you'll do

  • Design, test, and validate proximity sensors for autonomous vehicles
  • Execute complete PCB lifecycle from requirements through production, including schematic design and component selection
  • Develop system interconnect diagrams and define wire harnesses for electronic equipment
  • Conduct lab, ground, and flight testing of sensor and engine system components
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to support field operations
  • Lead peer-level design reviews and collaborate across subsystem teams

  • PCB design and layout (Altium preferred)
  • Mixed-signal and circuit design
  • Sensor design, integration, and testing
  • Test equipment proficiency (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers)
  • Standard communication interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI)
  • EMI testing and environmental compliance
  • UAS, power electronics, or powertrain design experience
  • MIL-STD compliance and defense industry standards
