Integration and Test Engineer (Iron Bird), Omen

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks an Integration & Test Engineer to design and operate Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL/HITL) test environments for Omen, an autonomous air vehicle. You'll lead the creation of physical integration systems that enable mission simulation, off-nominal testing, and rapid iteration from component testing to flight validation.

What you'll do

• Design, build, commission, and operate Iron Bird HIL/HITL environments for all vehicle configurations
• Develop modular test setups with switchable hardware and emulation capabilities for subsystem-targeted testing
• Create and execute test plans for integration activities, capturing learnings and design recommendations
• Support software releases and regression testing through Iron Bird simulation environments
• Lead component, subsystem, and system-level integration within test environments
• Implement configuration control processes and real-time data visualization for Iron Bird operations

• HIL/HITL/Iron Bird environment design and operation
• Real-time simulation platforms (dSPACE, NI, Speedgoat, or equivalent)
• High voltage systems integration and testing
• Test bench design including power distribution and signal routing
• Data acquisition (DAQ) setup and sensor integration
• Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Serial)
• Command line interface (CLI) proficiency
• Test engineering and technical documentation
