About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop and implement automated test procedures for subsea robotic vehicles at component and system levels. You'll work with engineering and technician teams to build comprehensive testing capabilities that ensure quality and reliability as production scales.
What you'll do
- Design and execute automated test procedures across manufacturing, from component validation to full system acceptance testing
- Perform root cause analysis on electromechanical subsystems using data-driven problem-solving methodologies
- Develop semi-automated testing equipment and protocols for subsystem characterization and environmental reliability testing
- Create controlled test instructions and error code documentation for technician teams in MES systems
- Collaborate with design and systems teams on risk assessments and test deployment throughout product development
- Optimize factory acceptance test (FAT) procedures for AUV production and oversee PCBA/electrical component testing

- LabVIEW, Test Stand, or similar automated test software
- Programming languages: Python, Matlab, SHELL, or similar
- Hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN, PCIe, HDMI
- Electromechanical systems design and troubleshooting
- Sensor, actuator, and electrical component programming
- Test plan development and execution
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Product Life Cycle (PLM) systems
- PCBA testing and rework
