About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to design and implement automated test procedures for advanced autonomous underwater vehicles in a rapidly scaling production environment. You'll develop testing capabilities across subsystems and full platforms, collaborate with engineering and technician teams, and ensure product reliability through hands-on analysis and structured problem-solving.

What you'll do

  • Develop automated test procedures and capabilities across manufacturing from component validation to system-level acceptance testing
  • Design and implement semi-automated testing equipment and protocols for subsystem characterization and reliability/environmental testing
  • Perform hands-on root cause analysis of electromechanical subsystems using structured problem-solving methodologies
  • Collaborate with design and systems teams throughout product development to assess risks and oversee test deployment in production
  • Create and maintain test logs, error code libraries, and troubleshooting documentation for technician teams
  • Generate controlled test processes for MES and test execution systems that technicians can easily follow

  • Hardware communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN)
  • Automated test systems design and implementation
  • Electromechanical subsystem testing and characterization
  • Test plan development and execution under schedule pressure
  • Sensor, actuator, and electrical component programming/testing
  • Data-driven root cause analysis and troubleshooting
  • MES/PLM/TES systems familiarity (preferred)
