About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mechanical Engineer to develop advanced wearable vision systems for military applications, integrating multispectral sensors, thermal management, and ballistic protection. You'll design ergonomic, combat-ready hardware balancing SWAP-C constraints with human factors in a fast-paced defense tech environment.
What you'll do
- Design and prototype wearable multispectral sensor systems with thermal management and ballistic protection
- Develop detailed mechanical designs for both traditional and additive manufacturing across metallic and composite materials
- Conduct structural and thermal analyses to inform trade studies and concept validation
- Ensure ergonomic fit and comfort for prolonged tactical wear while meeting strict size, weight, and power constraints
- Produce high-quality CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings managing complex component interactions
- Drive rapid prototyping and iterative design refinement with 3D-printed assets and testing
