About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Process Engineer to lead manufacturing optimization for infrared imaging components (IDCAs) in their defense technology division. You'll drive process improvements, capacity scaling, equipment automation, and new product launches while ensuring operational excellence in a high-vacuum thermal imaging environment.
What you'll do
- Design, document, and continuously improve IDCA manufacturing processes across full lifecycle
- Develop and execute initiatives to increase production capacity significantly
- Design and deploy automation, data collection, and process control systems to enhance quality and reduce cycle time
- Create and manage preventive maintenance and equipment spares procedures to maximize uptime
- Specify, source, install, and qualify new process equipment
- Provide design feedback and lead qualification of new IDCA products for program launches
