About this role
Senior Manufacturing Engineer role focused on designing and implementing advanced manufacturing processes while driving continuous improvement across operations. This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing and involves mentoring technical teams, optimizing production efficiency, and leading Lean/Toyota Production System initiatives at a global architectural glass and building products manufacturer.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and implement innovative manufacturing processes and equipment
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Toyota Production Systems methodologies
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production staff to optimize operations
- Teach and coach team members on Lean tools: Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, Standard Work, FMEA, A3 analysis, and statistical methods
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency standards
- Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams on quality systems and procedures
