Product Sourcing Engineer

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Product Sourcing Engineer to drive strategic supply network development and cost management for defense technology hardware across product lifecycles. You'll collaborate with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to optimize sourcing, accelerate product development, and manage total cost of ownership for advanced aerial drone systems.

What you'll do

• Select suppliers and manage supplier relationships for component and system development
• Lead new product introduction (NPI) procurement, BOM development, and production ramp activities
• Conduct value-stream mapping and cost engineering to optimize supply chain lead time and total cost of ownership
• Perform design trade-offs, should-cost modeling, and joint development activities with strategic suppliers
• Complete BOM risk assessments, component qualifications, and alternate sourcing strategies
• Manage capital expenditure throughout NPI and address ad-hoc cost issues like tariffs and inflation
