Costa Mesa, California, United StatesFrom $220kmidAdded today

About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Red Team Engineer to identify design flaws, failure modes, and hidden assumptions in defense systems before deployment. You'll independently conduct rigorous adversarial analysis across aerospace, autonomy, and cyber domains, working cross-functionally with systems, software, and hardware teams to pressure-test designs and trade studies.

What you'll do

  • Execute independent red-team analyses to hunt failure modes and surface hidden assumptions across programs
  • Develop models, simulations, and analysis tooling to verify or challenge technical claims
  • Reconstruct and independently verify work from Systems, GNC, Software, Hardware, and Test teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate findings into actionable design improvements
  • Apply hands-on systems-building experience to catch problems in analysis rather than field testing
  • Present complex technical results with strong data visualization to engineers and stakeholders

What they're looking for

  • Adversarial analysis and red-teaming
  • Physics-math scripting (MATLAB, Simulink, Python with numpy/scipy)
  • Systems design and analysis
  • Failure mode and effects analysis
  • Independent verification and validation (IV&V)
  • Multi-domain reasoning (space, aerospace, autonomy, sensors)
  • Technical communication and data visualization
  • Dynamics, controls, and GNC principles
