SCADA Engineer
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a SCADA Engineer to maintain and operate mission-critical factory infrastructure and control systems, including Ignition SCADA applications, OT networking, and PLC platforms. You'll manage change control, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-uptime manufacturing operations in a defense technology environment.
What you'll do
- Own change management processes for SCADA systems and shop floor deployments
- Operate and maintain on-premise OT infrastructure including Ignition gateways, historians, and MQTT brokers
- Develop Ignition Perspective SCADA applications with views, tag architecture, alarms, and gateway topologies
- Troubleshoot and maintain PLC code on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms
- Manage OT network infrastructure and diagnose protocol, timing, and VLAN segmentation issues
- Act as escalation point for resolving complex infrastructure outages and ensuring factory uptime

- Ignition SCADA development and gateway modules (Tag Historian, Alarm Notification, OPC UA, MQTT)
- OT network stack proficiency (MQTT, OPC UA, TCP/IP, industrial Ethernet, VLANs)
- Packet-level network analysis and troubleshooting
- PLC programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens)
- OT cybersecurity knowledge (air-gapping, segmentation, hardening, secure access)
- Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- Industry standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, NIST 800-53, Purdue PERA)
- Windows/Linux administration
