About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to own the health and uptime of deployed imaging systems in the field. You'll diagnose complex issues across hardware, networking, and software stacks, escalate genuine defects to engineering, and transform recurring problems into durable runbooks and tooling. This is frontline production support for mission-critical defense systems, requiring 15% travel and on-call coverage.
What you'll do
- Triage, diagnose, and resolve issues affecting deployed imaging systems across networking, calibration, hardware, and software layers
- Serve as first and second line of response for escalations from field personnel and customer support channels
- Build and maintain runbooks, diagnostics, and self-service tooling to reduce recurring problems and support load
- Reproduce software defects, document them clearly, and hand off to engineering while protecting their focus
- Translate field learnings into product improvements—better observability, safer upgrades, graceful failure modes
- Participate in structured on-call rotation including after-hours and weekend coverage with ~15% travel for field deployments
