About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to design and build backend services for the Software Integration Environment (SIE) platform, which orchestrates distributed test and simulation environments on Kubernetes. You will own significant subsystems end-to-end, scale compute infrastructure, and work directly with internal teams and customers to improve the platform that enables rapid autonomous systems development.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend services that provision, orchestrate, and tear down distributed test environments on Kubernetes
- Own significant subsystems end-to-end from design through rollout, operation, and user iteration
- Scale the platform's compute layer including capacity management, performance optimization, and resource efficiency
- Improve user-facing abstractions so engineers can describe complex test topologies without deep Kubernetes expertise
- Build deployment and configuration tooling for cloud and on-premise environments with repeatable releases
- Enhance reliability, performance, and observability including instrumentation, monitoring, and root cause analysis
