Anduril Industries
Software Engineer, Target Tracking
About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer to design and deploy advanced multi-target tracking algorithms and real-time software systems for air and missile defense radar. You'll develop production-grade tracking solutions that process massive sensor data streams and protect critical assets, working directly with radar engineers and customers to validate and integrate cutting-edge systems.
What you'll do
- Design and implement multi-target tracking algorithms that detect and characterize airborne threats in real-time
- Develop high-performance distributed systems processing radar sensor data for dozens to hundreds of simultaneous targets
- Build modeling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify improvements
- Optimize tracking software for millisecond-critical, performance-intensive environments
- Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate solutions into end-to-end defense systems
- Communicate technical trade-offs to cross-functional teams and customers; participate in field demonstrations
What they're looking for
- C++ and Python programming
- Linear algebra, probability, statistics, and differential equations
- Multi-target tracking and sensor fusion algorithms
- Real-time systems and distributed computing
- Software design patterns, testing, and version control
- Signal processing and radar systems
- Performance optimization for latency-critical applications
- Technical communication and cross-functional collaboration
