About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Systems Engineer for the Tactical Recon & Strike division to drive technical direction and cross-functional coordination on aerial drone products (Altius, Anvil, Bolt, Ghost). You'll apply systems engineering principles, safety-critical standards, and hazard analysis to evolve product architecture and ensure reliable, modular designs from concept through field testing.

What you'll do

  • Lead systems thinking and architectural design for core defense drone products
  • Partner with product leads and functional teams to scope capabilities and achieve milestones
  • Define system/subsystem requirements, risk reduction strategies, and verification/validation approaches
  • Execute System Hazard Analyses (SHAs) and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEAs) to drive safety requirements
  • Coordinate multi-level test events from software simulations to flight tests
  • Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies and technical inefficiencies
