Costa Mesa, California, United StatesFrom $194kmidAdded today

About this role

Anduril is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to serve as the technical bridge between hardware and software subsystems on autonomous tactical reconnaissance vehicles. You'll drive cross-functional problem-solving, build predictive reliability models, define test strategies, and ensure field-ready systems with a clear pathway to Chief Engineering leadership.

What you'll do

  • Own cross-functional integration between mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams to ensure hardware-software performance meets program goals
  • Build reliability models and system performance simulations to predict real-world behavior and inform qualification strategies
  • Define subsystem testing plans, acceptance criteria, and on-the-line validation to prevent costly field rework
  • Develop weight, inertia, latency, and performance budgets; make architectural trade-offs between capability, cost, and schedule
  • Debug cross-system issues spanning perception, localization, planning, controls, and sensor integration; prototype solutions in simulation
  • Track hardware configuration changes from PDR through CDR to shipment and interface with Growth team on requirements iteration

What they're looking for

  • Systems engineering and cross-functional integration
  • Reliability modeling and failure analysis
  • Hardware-software co-design and debugging
  • Test planning, qualification, and acceptance criteria definition
  • Aerospace or robotics development experience
  • Technical leadership and influence without authority
  • Simulation and modeling tools
  • Configuration management and program tracking

Benefits

  • Clear pathway to Chief Engineering leadership roles
  • Hands-on technical work with cutting-edge autonomous systems
  • Cross-disciplinary learning across mechanical, electrical, and software domains
  • Work on defense technology with real-world impact
  • Collaborative culture that values action over documentation
  • Located in Costa Mesa, California

Likely interview questions

  • Tell us about a time you debugged a problem that spanned multiple hardware and software subsystems—what was your approach and how did you unblock the teams involved?
  • Describe your experience building reliability models or predictive performance models for complex systems. What data sources and methodologies have you used?
