About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Senior Test Engineer to lead hardware integration and qualification testing for advanced maritime and subsea systems. You will own comprehensive test campaigns for mission-critical pressure vessels and mechanisms, correlating physical test data with MBSE models while generating formal qualification evidence for defense customers.

What you'll do

  • Design, build, and oversee hydrostatic proof, burst, and cyclic pressure testing of subsea hardware and pressure-boundary structures
  • Develop and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) test plans, validating system sequencing, sensor/actuator response, and fault modes
  • Define instrumentation suites and modern data acquisition architectures for complex environmental and structural testing
  • Integrate test data into digital thread (MBSE/Cameo) and correlate results with finite element models and stress analysis
  • Generate comprehensive test data packages and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for government and prime contractor qualification
  • Partner with ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories to scope, schedule, and conduct formal qualification test programs

What they're looking for

  • HITL and electro-mechanical functional testing
  • Hydrostatic and pressure vessel testing design and execution
  • Test instrumentation (strain gauges, pressure transducers, load cells, LVDTs, accelerometers)
  • Data acquisition (DAQ) system architecture and implementation
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo
  • Test planning, test readiness reviews (TRRs), and formal qualification reporting
  • NAVSEA/GDEB/ASME/ABS standards and defense compliance
  • Cross-functional technical leadership and project coordination

Likely interview questions

  • Describe your most complex hydrostatic or pressure vessel test campaign—what were the critical failure modes you had to validate, and how did you ensure safety margins?
  • Walk us through how you've correlated physical test data with finite element models to validate stress predictions on high-consequence hardware.
