About this role
Antares is seeking a Nuclear Engineer to take ownership of key reactor design components including reactivity controls, shielding, fuels, and thermal hydraulics. You'll conduct neutronics simulations, support multiphysics analyses, and collaborate with senior engineers to develop inherently safe, mass-producible microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications.
What you'll do
- Perform neutronics modeling and simulations using MCNP, Serpent, or SCALE
- Support multiphysics analyses including thermal-hydraulics, heat transfer, and structural mechanics
- Participate in experimental validation of simulation results
- Collaborate with senior engineers on iterative design tasks
- Contribute to documentation and regulatory reporting
- Participate in hardware demonstrations and prototype testing
