About this role
Join Antares' Reactor Hardware Team as a Turbomachinery Engineer to design and develop turbomachinery components for advanced nuclear microreactors from concept through production. You'll leverage expertise in aerodynamics, rotordynamics, structural analysis, or related turbomachinery disciplines while collaborating across manufacturing, test, and quality functions.
What you'll do
- Design, analyze, build, and test turbomachinery components for nuclear reactors through their full lifecycle
- Develop engineering documentation supporting design, manufacturing, and qualification testing phases
- Collaborate with manufacturing, test, and quality teams to advance hardware development
- Investigate issues during testing, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Optimize designs for cost reduction, manufacturability, and lead time improvements
- Support design reviews and provide technical expertise for critical product decisions
