About this role
Anthropic seeks a Platform Security Engineer to own Dynamic Root of Trust for Measurement (DRTM) implementation across their AI infrastructure, working on x86 and ARM platforms at the firmware and kernel level. The role involves building attestation services, hardening platform security features, and leading upstream contributions to Linux and firmware communities.
What you'll do
- Own DRTM adoption and integration across x86 and ARM platforms in Anthropic's infrastructure
- Implement attestation services and security capabilities enabled by DRTM presence
- Design bootloader-agnostic DRTM session initiation and management solutions
- Interface with vendors and OEMs to refine DRTM requirements and guide implementation changes
- Publish DRTM work upstream and maintain Linux Secure Launch as tboot is deprecated
- Build and harden confidential computing solutions such as TDX and SEV
What they're looking for
- Deep expertise in measured boot, roots of trust (DRTM, SRTM, TPM 1.2/2.0)
- Strong C and assembly programming with Linux kernel fundamentals
- Experience with bootloaders, UEFI, ACPI, and SMM
- Hardware/firmware debugging (JTAG, serial, platform bring-up)
- Upstream open source contribution track record in Linux, TianoCore, or GRUB
- Technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration with external vendors
- NIST firmware security guidance knowledge (SP 800-193, 800-147/155)
- Confidential computing experience (TDX, SEV-SNP, ARM CCA)
