About this role
Anthropic seeks desktop engineers to build native macOS and Windows applications for Claude, their advanced AI assistant. You'll work across web technologies (TypeScript, React, Electron) and native code (Rust, Swift, C++) to create performant, intuitive desktop experiences that leverage cutting-edge language models.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain desktop app features using Electron, TypeScript, and React
- Write native code in Rust, Swift, or C++ to integrate platform-specific capabilities

- Design and implement update mechanisms and deployment pipelines
- Build monitoring and performance tracking tools for application health
- Evaluate how LLMs can augment user workflows on desktop platforms
