About this role

Anyscale is seeking an Infrastructure Software Engineer to build the control and data plane systems that power its Ray-based distributed AI platform. You'll design scalable orchestration services, optimize scheduling for heterogeneous clusters, and ensure reliable execution of ML workloads across cloud and on-premises environments.

What you'll do

  • Design and scale services that orchestrate Ray clusters across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Optimize control plane components for large-scale distributed AI/ML workloads
  • Build intelligent scheduling and resource management systems for heterogeneous compute clusters
  • Develop features for reliability, performance, scalability, and observability of managed Ray workloads
  • Support accelerator integration (GPUs, TPUs) and container image management
  • Provide on-call support and collaborate with customer teams on infrastructure troubleshooting
