About this role

Apex is hiring an Enterprise Security Engineer to design and implement secure enterprise architectures, systems, and cloud environments for a commercial spacecraft manufacturing company. This technical leadership role spans cybersecurity strategy, risk management, compliance, and incident response, protecting critical aerospace assets against evolving threats.

What you'll do

  • Design enterprise-wide security architectures for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
  • Deploy and integrate security technologies including SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, IAM, and vulnerability management platforms
  • Conduct threat modeling, security architecture reviews, and risk assessments for new systems and applications
  • Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and SOC 2 frameworks
  • Support incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis activities
  • Mentor junior security engineers and serve as SME for technical and business stakeholders
