About this role
Apex is seeking an early-career Avionics Engineer to design and develop electrical systems and components for commercial satellite platforms. You'll work cross-functionally to create avionics architectures, PCB designs, and integrated subsystems that enable next-generation space applications.
What you'll do
- Design avionics systems and electrical components for satellites per mission requirements and industry standards
- Develop electrical architectures including power distribution, communication interfaces, and control systems
- Design PCBs and electrical boards with attention to component placement, signal routing, and manufacturability
- Select electronic components such as sensors, transmitters, and processors based on project specifications
- Execute test plans and validation procedures to ensure avionics systems meet performance and safety standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during development, integration, and testing phases
