Spacecraft RF Engineer (Early)

About this role

Apex seeks an experienced RF engineer to design satellite communications systems and spacecraft architectures for their commercial satellite bus platforms. You'll lead clean-sheet RF/digital/optical system design, perform link analysis and simulations, and collaborate across integrated teams to deliver telemetry solutions for earth observation and communications spacecraft.

What you'll do

• Design RF, digital, and optical satellite communications systems and spacecraft architectures
• Define communication system requirements, verify interfaces, and drive supplier selection
• Perform link budgeting, signal analysis, and system performance simulations
• Develop analysis tools using MATLAB and object-oriented software platforms
• Develop and verify system algorithms meeting functional and performance requirements
• Lead hardware procurement, integration, design reviews, and verification testing
