Spacecraft RF Engineer (Mid)

About this role

Apex is hiring a mid-level RF Engineer to design and develop satellite communications systems for their commercial spacecraft platforms. You'll lead RF, digital, and optical communication architecture from concept through verification while collaborating across integrated teams to meet customer payload requirements.

What you'll do

• Design RF, digital, and optical satellite communications systems and spacecraft architectures
• Define system requirements, verify interfaces, and drive supplier selection for subcomponents
• Perform link budgeting, signal analysis, and reliability assessments for space communications
• Develop analysis tools and algorithms using MATLAB and object-oriented platforms
• Conduct hardware procurement, integration, design reviews, and verification testing
• Collaborate with payload customers and cross-functional teams on system requirements
