Project Civil Engineer

About this role

Apex Companies seeks a Project Civil Engineer to support diverse civil engineering projects including land development, geotechnical investigations, and waste facility design in Somerset or Greensburg, PA on a hybrid basis. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and career growth within a fast-growing AEC consulting firm.

What you'll do

• Perform conceptual and detailed civil design including site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility design
• Support geotechnical investigations, subsurface data review, and foundation/slope design recommendations
• Assist with design and permitting for municipal and residual waste facilities including landfills and transfer stations
• Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies on permitting and approvals; participate in client and contractor meetings
• Support project execution through scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and progress tracking
