About this role
Applied Intuition seeks a Firmware HIL Engineer to design and maintain hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure for autonomous vehicle development. You'll combine embedded systems expertise with Python automation and Linux infrastructure to manage large-scale test labs serving top automakers and defense contractors.
What you'll do
- Build and scale Python-based test frameworks that interact with physical hardware across hundreds of test benches
- Debug and stabilize flaky integration tests in production CI environments
- Perform embedded hardware debugging using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers
- Manage Linux systems administration including networking, kernel modules, and systemd configuration on baremetal machines
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for hardware-heavy testing workflows
- Develop firmware and embedded software that interfaces between on-target systems and PC-side applications
