About this role

Applied Intuition seeks a seasoned GNC Engineer to develop and integrate flight autonomy software for military aerial platforms ranging from fighter jets to unmanned systems. You'll collaborate with DoD experts and OEM vendors to build, test, and deploy autonomous flight control capabilities across defense and commercial applications.

What you'll do

  • Develop and integrate GNC algorithms for autonomous aircraft systems including fighter jets and Group 1-5 UAVs
  • Build and improve aerial autonomy software architectures tested on real military systems
  • Collaborate with DoD warfighter experts and third-party UAS vendors on software integration
  • Conduct flight testing and perform data analysis to validate autonomy capabilities
  • Develop and simulate 3DoF/6DoF air vehicle models for GNC algorithm development
  • Travel as needed to support project requirements (~20% or once every other month)
