About this role

Applied Intuition seeks a HIL Systems Integration Engineer to design and bring up hardware-in-the-loop benches that replicate vehicle electrical architectures. You'll lead system-level integration of ECUs, harnesses, and instrumentation while developing test automation and debugging cross-protocol automotive networks.

What you'll do

  • Design and assemble HIL bench hardware including wire harnesses, breakout boxes, power distribution, and instrumentation
  • Develop Python tooling for ECU flashing, test orchestration, and bench health monitoring in CI pipelines
  • Debug hardware and software issues using oscilloscopes and bus analysis tools for CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet
  • Validate network compatibility and protocol compliance across sensors, ECUs, and actuation subsystems
  • Define acceptance criteria and execute bench-level validation with root cause analysis
  • Maintain platform documentation including schematics, integration procedures, and failure mode analyses

What they're looking for

  • Vehicle E/E systems integration and HIL bench development
  • Python scripting and test automation
  • Automotive bus protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
  • Oscilloscope and protocol analysis tools
  • Hardware schematic design and wire harness assembly
  • MATLAB/Simulink and model-based development
  • ECAD tools (Siemens Capital or equivalent)
  • CI/CD pipeline integration
