Applied AI Engineer

About this role

Join Arcade to build the infrastructure enabling AI agents to take real-world actions. As an Applied AI Engineer on the Tools team, you'll design agentic tools that go beyond simple API wrappers, create systems for agents to generate tools automatically, and compose tools into workflows—solving novel problems at the frontier of AI application infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Design and ship agentic tools that reason and plan beyond deterministic API wrappers
• Build agent harnesses that automate high-quality tool creation from vendor APIs
• Design workflow primitives that compose multiple tools into customer-facing solutions
• Set architectural patterns and best practices for the Tools team to scale the catalog
• Conduct experiments and research on agentic tool design, publishing learnings
• Ship solutions to production within quarters while maintaining research rigor
